Powerful Results: Reynolds and Reynolds Dominates Ward's e-Dealer 100

70% of Top 100 e-dealers trust Reynolds Web Solutions to drive Internet Sales

DAYTON, Ohio, April 11 -- The Reynolds and Reynolds Company , the leading provider of software and services to the automotive retailing industry, announced today that 70 of the top 100 e-dealers ranked on the fifth annual Ward's Dealer Business "e-Dealer 100" list are Reynolds Web Solutions customers. This overwhelming endorsement from the automotive retailing leaders represents a 35 percent increase from 2004 for Reynolds, and further distances Reynolds Web Solutions from its nearest competitor.

Ward's e-Dealer 100 ranks dealerships based on Internet-related sales, which the magazine defines as situations when customer contact begins online and is managed by a dedicated Internet department. The 2005 e-Dealer 100 list recorded 144,136 Internet sales transactions in 2004, including 109,115 new and 35,021 used car sales. The total figure is 18,938 more than the previous year.

Reynolds Web Solutions customers include many of the nation's largest enterprise groups including AutoNation, United Auto Group, Sonic, Asbury, Gulf States Toyota and Southeast Toyota. This year, AutoNation dominated the list with 44 of its dealerships being ranked as top e-dealers.

"We are very excited about the results of the survey and proud of our store's performance," said Lisa Dobbs, director of Internet Development at AutoNation. "We have continued to implement our Internet strategy which includes increasing our online presence and implementing critical business processes. Reynolds' WebMakerX tools allow us to manage and control our web sites centrally -- and we find this to be a true competitive advantage for AutoNation."

Stuart Lloyd, vice president of Reynolds Web Solutions, noted that this year's results confirm the company's ability to continue to deliver leading edge web site solutions to the most demanding automotive retailers.

"Reynolds Web Solutions has one goal -- we are here to help dealers pro- actively use our WebMakerX tools and Internet Selling Systems to build consistent sales growth in their Internet departments," said Lloyd. "It's critical to look beyond a site's design and evaluate how it performs and can drive results for your business.

"At Reynolds, we have moved to an objective analysis of web site design and sales techniques based on the actual results web sites produce, such as visitor conversion rates, lead conversion rates and overall margin on investment," Lloyd said.

Reynolds Web Solutions' Web site platform, WebMakerX(R), is built on Microsoft .NET technology. Features such as LeadTRAP(TM) technology increase lead submission rates from the dealership web site and help drive more floor traffic to the showroom. Reynolds' SpiderMAZE(TM) technology ensures sites are nearly 100 percent "spider-friendly" to help dealerships dominate the search engine battle. With wizard-driven administration tools, the sites are easy to manage and update. The sites also offer searchable inventory listings, ability to customize sales specials and include detailed service, financing and contact information, making it easy for consumers to do business with the dealership.
