Upscale SUV Owners Get New Tire Choices From Bridgestone Firestone

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (April 4, 2005) – The Bridgestone® Dueler™ H/L Alenza has its root in romance. The name, that is. Evoking an elegant way to go forward, its tagline, “elegance with an edge,” is fitting for a tire that is designed to provide a stylish, graceful ride.

More consumers will now be able to enjoy that ride thanks to Bridgestone Firestone North American Tire, LLC’s (BFNT) announcement that the company has launched additional sizes of its popular tire line. With these new sizes, the Bridgestone Dueler H/L Alenza will be available to an even larger and broader audience of SUV owners.

“First released in September 2004, the Bridgestone Dueler H/L Alenza line is growing to address the vast and growing market of premium luxury SUVs,” said Phil Pacsi, executive director, consumer product marketing, BFNT. “These new sizes target some of the top selling and most sophisticated SUVs on the market today.”

The Bridgestone Dueler H/L Alenza features a unique geometrically sophisticated-looking tread pattern inspired by famous architectural designs. Coupled with UNI-T® and UNI-T AQII™ technologies built into the tires, the Dueler H/L Alenza delivers great performance yet retains outstanding wet-handling characteristics.

Utilizing Ever-Black™ technology, the sidewalls are constructed with a specially formulated “real black” rubber, which allows the tire to retain its blackness even as the tire ages, helping maintain the showroom-new sidewall appearance that is desired by owners of upscale SUVs and light trucks.

The Dueler H/L Alenza, originally introduced for luxury upscale SUVs such as the Acura MDX, BMW X5, Cadillac Escalade, SRX, GM Yukon, Infiniti FX45, Lexus GX470, LX470, RX330, Lincoln Navigator, Mercedes M-Class, Range Rover and Toyota 4Runner, now has sizes for virtually all highway SUV applications.
