Target America: Opening Eyes to the Danger Drugs Cause, a new exhibit developed by the Drug Enforcement Administration Museum, will open to the public Saturday (April 2) and run through Oct. 2, 2005, at The New Detroit Science Center. The powerful exhibit is sponsored by Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc.
The one-of-a-kind exhibit is aimed at children and their families giving them an in-depth look at drug production and narco-terrorism. Displays include interactive kiosks, education about drug trafficking in Michigan, the inside of a methamphetamine lab and more. It is a must-see, powerful exhibit about the impact of drugs on the human body, society and terrorism.
On Friday morning, at the Press Conference, DEA Administrator Karen Tandy and other officials will speak and answer questions. Photographers are welcome beginning at 8 a.m. Friday.
