Japan February Vehicle Output up 5%

TOKYO March 30, 2005: Japan Today reported that Production of cars, trucks and buses in Japan rose 5% in February from a year earlier to 959,388 units for the second straight monthly increase, as exports grew for the first time in three months, the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association said Tuesday.

Vehicle exports from Japan totaled 411,314 units in February, up 5.5%, with exports to the United States climbing 13.4% to 140,920 units. (Kyodo News)
