Robinson turns eyes toward Bristol

Eddyville, Ky. – It should be an exciting weekend for Shawna Robinson and the #23 Vassarette Chevrolet team at Bristol Motor Speedway.

“I love racing at Bristol,” Robinson said. “It’s a very demanding track and you’ve got to be alert. Everything is intense - the racing, the fans, everything.”

Robinson, who was missed last week’s race in Nashville due to a mechanical failure, is poised to rebound with a strong showing in the Sharpie 250 on Saturday.

The team tested at Bristol last weekend and crew chief Kenneth Campbell said the experience should pay dividends for Robinson on Saturday.

”Shawna had a really good testing session,” he said. “We learned a lot about the car and set up that will put us ahead of the curve this weekend. We’ve already made some changes to the set up that will help us and we were able to make some more involved changes that are harder to do at the track.

“The way to get better on the track is to be better off the truck. Testing will help us do that this week.”

The Sharpie Professional 250 will air on Fox at 2 p.m. eastern time.
