MOPAR'S CRAWFORD READY TO TACKLE 2005 SEASON

Center Line, Mich. - Mike Crawford and Darrell Cox Racing are hoping that
history repeats itself as the 2005 NHRA Summit Racing Sport Compact Drag Racing
season kicks off this weekend at Moroso Motorsports Park in Florida.

In the team's first event last year in Fontana, Calif., Crawford drove his
Mopar Dodge SRT4 to a victory in the Hot Rod Division. The changes that the team
have made in preparation for this season, including the transition to a
one-car team, gives Darrell Cox Racing a definite position as a series contender.

"We're going to be able to utilize some different Mopar performance parts
this season," Crawford said. "We're going to use some trick Mopar performance
heads on our SRT4, which will allow us to utilize a bigger turbo. We think that
this improvement, as well as switching to a one-car team is definitely going to
be an advantage."

Darrell Cox Racing, which fielded cars for both Crawford and All Motor
Division pilot Scott Mohler in 2004, will focus solely on its Hot Rod Division
program this year.

"The cars that we run are comparable to a top-fuel dragster in maintenance,"
Crawford said. "They require a lot of maintenance, not only between events but
between rounds as well. Only having one car to maintain will allow us to
focus completely on making our efforts as strong as they can possibly be."

In 2004 Crawford made three final round appearances and four semifinal round
appearances, finishing the season in fourth place in the NHRA Summit Racing
Sport Compact Drag Racing Series. As the team heads to Moroso this week, they
will look to make their presence known early on in the season.

"We'd like to qualify in the top three, and we're definitely going to try and
win this first race," Crawford said. "We're also going into the event to see
if we can set some ET or speed records. We're ready to get this season
underway."
