Rush Enterprises, Inc. Announces Appointment of Chief Compliance Officer and Vice President of Legal Affairs

SAN ANTONIO--March 29, 2005--Rush Enterprises, Inc. today announced that its Board of Directors has named Derrek Weaver its Chief Compliance Officer and Vice President of Legal Affairs. Mr. Weaver will be responsible for overseeing all legal matters pertaining to the Company, including corporate compliance and governance matters, acquisitions and dispute resolution.

Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Weaver was an Associate Attorney in the Corporate, Securities and Transactions group of the San Antonio office of Fulbright & Jaworski L.L.P., and prior to attending law school Mr. Weaver worked as a Sales Engineer in Trane's commercial and industrial HVAC group in San Antonio. Mr. Weaver received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a J.D., summa cum laude, from the Texas Tech University School of Law.
