Energy & Engine Technology Corporation Announces Attendance at 2005 Mid America Truck Show in Louisville, KY
PLANO, Texas, March 29 -- EENT (BULLETIN BOARD: EENT) announced today that it will be an exhibitor at this year's Mid America Truck Show in Louisville, KY from March 31 - April 2, 2005, in outside Booth 9055. At the Show, EENT will be showcasing its AXP 1000 product and its new split unit air conditioning and heating system, with three distinct location options for the fan/blower unit inside the cab.
The show is the largest trucking show in North America and takes place each year in Louisville, KY. Last year's attendance by more than 70,000 people with over 1000 exhibitors has solidified MATS as the number one event for the truck industry each year. The Show hosts attendees from all 50 states and over 50 foreign countries, and exhibitors from 46 states and over 13 foreign nations.
The need for auxiliary power units has never been greater. A truck fleet with 100 trucks could potentially save over $2.6 million over a three year period by utilizing auxiliary power units, such as EENT's AXP 1000. To add to the story is the fact that oil is selling at a record high, with diesel hovering around $2.45 a gallon on the West Coast (http://tonto.eia.doe.gov/oog/info/wohdp/diesel.asp ). If one looks at the federal statistics of drivers driving 330 days per year on average, with 10 hours per day resting, using 1.5 gallons per hour, at $2.45 a gallon, that is over $12,000 per year consumed in diesel idling costs. EENT's device uses .12 gallons per hour when running, so using the same numbers, this is $970 per year, OR A SAVINGS OF OVER $11,000 PER YEAR. EENT's device is $6500 (retail) with approximately $500 - $750 for installation. Even if the regulations do not get evenly enforced for the near term, the savings alone is compelling evidence for the market potential of the device.
Over 3 years, which is purported to be the average turnover for trucks at large fleets, the savings is $26,000 ($11,000 per year for 3 years less the $7,000 per truck cost for the device), OR $2,600,000 FOR A 100 TRUCK FLEET.
Add to this story the prevalence of idling restrictions in various states and jurisdictions and the occurring transition to active enforcement, which is making devices, such as our AXP 1000, a compelling purchase for truckers.
