VITEC Names Vice President of Manufacturing
DETROIT, March 29 -- VITEC LLC, a leading tier one automotive supplier of plastic fuel systems, today announced the selection of Frank J. Remesch as vice president of manufacturing. Remesch's responsibilities will include management of all manufacturing operations including quality control, facilities design, lean manufacturing, operations systems and cost management.

"His vast experience in plastics operations, coupled with his technical acumen, strategic vision and overall business management skills clearly strengthens VITEC's ability to produce and deliver quality products to our customers."
Remesch brings more than 35 years of plastics manufacturing experience to VITEC, primarily with Ford Motor Company and Visteon Corporation. Through 1982 - 2005, he served as plant manager for several plants including the Utica Trim Plant in Shelby Township, Michigan where he managed a facility with $500 million in sales and 2,000 employees. He was also instrumental in the 2000 Visteon spin-off from Ford Motor Company, where he helped the Utica Plant grow as a stand-alone facility. At the Milan Plastics Plant in Milan, Michigan, he was responsible for managing a plant with $380 million in sales and 1,200 employees supplying plastic fuel tanks and bumper fascias.
Furthermore, at the Milan Plant, he developed and launched a revolutionary co-extruded process for manufacturing fuel tanks that achieved a significant improvement in manufacturing efficiencies from monolayer tank manufacturing.
In addition, Remesch was employed in the Walton Hills and Woodhaven Stamping facilities where he served as the assistant plant manager and held several other positions including material handling/utilization manager, quality control manager and area manufacturing manager.
Remesch earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Kent University, Kent, Ohio. Moreover, he has completed several prestigious training programs including the Executive Development Program at Kellogg School of Business, Northwestern University; Statistical Process Control, University of Tennessee; and the Management of Managers, University of Michigan.
Also, during his tenure as plant manager for the stated facilities, he secured and maintained certifications to TS16949 quality, ISO14001 environmental and ISO9001 quality operating system standards.
Remesch has also received several awards including the Society of Plastic Engineers 2004 Grand Award and a Community Service Award from Shelby Township, Michigan.
