Cloth on Racing

Hey there!

Easter weekend brought with it a fairly quiet time in the world of Motorsports. Most of the top series took the weekend off. The IRL makes it's first stop on a street course this weekend in downtown St. Petersburg, FL. Should be a great event, with Chamber of Congress weather expected.

I'll be at the Honda Grand Prix of St. Pete all three days, so if you're there, and want me to stop by to discuss hats and such, drop me a line, or give me a call, and I'll be sure to stop by. I can also help you with many of your other product needs . . . Bags, Backpacks, Lanyards, Water Bottles and many other products, just ask!

Our condolences go out to the family of Harvey Duck, long time PR rep for STP, who died last week at age 80. Harvey was a nice guy, and one of the first people Chris Economaki ever introduced me to when I went to work for him.

Here's what went on this weekend:

ARCA @ Nashville Superspeedway - The Re/Max Series was in Gladeville, Tn for the PFG Lester 150. Erin Crocker, driving for Evernham Motorsports, became only the third woman in ARCA history to win a pole position (Patty Moise & Shawna Robinson are the other two). When the race was over though, Crocker had finished 12th, the last car on the lead lap, and Chad Blount, driving the Foretravel Motorhomes Chevrolet, had won the race.

NASCAR @ Nashville Superspeedway - Saturday was a day for rookies in the Busch Series Pepsi 300. 19 year old Reed Sorenson, driving the Coats/Discount Tire Co. Dodge out of Chip Ganassi's stable, won the race, crossing the line a whopping 14.417 seconds ahead of second place finisher Kenny Wallace.

A quick nod out to young Chase Barber . . . Chase finished 5th on Saturday in the USAC Ford Focus Pavement Series Race @ Irwindale. Somebody better snatch him up quick for their development program . . . before he graduates from HS.

You know what I always say . . . How can you not want to discuss hats and apparel with a guy who's last name is CLOTH?

As always, please remember . . .

It's not JUST a hat, it's a STATEMENT!

It's not just a brand, it's YOUR BRAND!

It's getting hats ON TIME and at the RIGHT PRICE!

It's not about us, it's about YOU!

Head Start Caps, THE headwear people . . . We're Customercentric!

Let Head Start Caps be the brand BEHIND your brand!

Remember, " . . . Everybody has one head, nobody has one hat!"

Have a great week!
