Airbiquity Announces More Than One Million OnStar-Enabled Vehicles Using aqLink Technology

BAINBRIDGE ISLAND, Wash.--March 28, 2005--Airbiquity Inc., a privately held company and a leading provider of wireless data communications software solutions, announced that the company surpassed a major milestone with more than one million OnStar-enabled vehicles on the road, using Airbiquity's patented aqLink technology. OnStar, available on more than 50 models from General Motors and select models from six other auto manufacturers, is the nation's leading provider of in-vehicle safety, security and information services using wireless technology and the GPS satellite network.

"We are very proud to have achieved this milestone. Having more than one million vehicles on the road whose drivers have made thousands of safety and security calls, such as emergency, crash notification, roadside assistance and navigation, placed from locations within the United States and Canada, is a testament to the applicability of our technology and quality of our products," said Kamyar Moinzadeh, President and Chief Executive Officer for Airbiquity Inc.

Airbiquity's success with OnStar positions aqLink to meet the growing demand for ubiquitous wireless data transport in markets such as telematics, medical monitoring, homeland security, fleet management and asset tracking. "Reaching positive cash-flow in 2004 coupled with our proven and widely deployed technology provides Airbiquity the opportunity to expand into such markets," said Kamyar Moinzadeh.

Service providers can utilize Airbiquity's aqLink technology to transport high value information to and from the wireless subscribers through any global cellular network. aqLink's platform independent and portable software architecture enables fast and seamless integration into various products, greatly reducing time-to-market requirements.
