Mitsubishi Fuso to conduct checkups on new, repaired trucks

TOKYO March 26, 2005; The Korea Times reported that Mitsubishi Fuso Truck & Bus Corp. said Friday it will conduct emergency checkups on about 8,000 of its brandnew and repaired large trucks due to possible defects in the suspension that may cause fires.

The company said it is planning the emergency checkups because it has received claims that a number of trucks which it recalled last September caught fire. (Kyodo News)
