SatCon Power Systems Appoints E.L. McDaniel Vice-President of Sales and Marketing
BOSTON--March 23, 2005--SatCon Technology Corporation(R) , a developer and manufacturer of electronic power control systems, today announced that it has appointed E.L. McDaniel to the position of Vice-President of Sales and Marketing for SatCon Power Systems. Mr. McDaniel will be responsible for the sales and marketing of products for both the Worcester and Burlington, Ontario divisions including SatCon's Rotary Uninterruptible Power Supply, PowerGate Photovoltaic Converters, Fuel Cell Converters, MagLev systems and custom high power electronics applications for alternative energy, defense and industrial automation drives.Mr. McDaniel recently served as Vice-President, Sales and Marketing for Piller, Inc., a manufacturer and integrator of large-scale UPS Systems based in Middletown, NY. At Piller, Mr. McDaniel managed all sales and marketing for North America, developed a highly successful strategic marketing plan, and was responsible for generating significant sales growth for the company. Prior to joining Piller Inc., Mr. McDaniel was Director of Sales for the Western Region for Engineered Data Products, Inc., (EDP), a manufacturer of server enclosures, telecom racks, technical furniture and command consoles for information technology infrastructure.
