Stola S.p.a. Announces the Launch of its North American Operation
NEW YORK, March 22 -- Stola S.p.a., a company with over 86 year's experience in the design, engineering, modeling and show car production in the automotive industry, announces the launch of its North American operation on March 23, 2005. This is the last step in the globalization of a company that has facilities in Europe, Asia and South America.
This North American facility will be in Ferndale, Mich., an upscale art and design community centrally located in the Detroit, Mich. area. This studio will house the most current digital design tools, engineering and feasibility competencies and traditional prototype building tools all geared to provide timely design, engineering, prototyping and limited volume production.
Partners in this venture will be Michael Check and Ken Grant. Mr. Check has over 10 year's experience in digital design, running the North American operations for Alias|wavefront and the UNDERGROUND World Corporation. Mr. Grant started his career at Ford Motor Company where he worked on design projects like the Mustang and Thunderbird. After leaving Ford, Mr. Grant has been working in the specialty vehicle design market.
The ultimate strength of the Stola NA team is their ability to combine the know-how to design and industrialize the complete vehicle with traditional craftsmanship techniques and the most advanced digital design tools, to create solutions for the North American transportation industry.
Representatives from Stola will attend the New York Auto Show this week to officially launch this new venture.
