Avis Continues Local Market Expansion With Four New Locations in the Northeast

Free Pick-up and Drop-off Service Within a Five-Mile Radius; 12-Passenger Vans Offered

PARSIPPANY, N.J., March 22 -- Avis Rent A Car System, Inc. today announced the opening of four new car rental facilities as part of its commitment to expand into local markets nationwide. Avis has opened more than sixty-five local rental facilities throughout the United States since July 2004, for a total of more than ninety locations over the past year. Avis plans to open an additional 100 locations each year for the next three years.

The new locations, situated in Connecticut, Maryland, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, provide Avis customers with a wide range of rental vehicles including minivans, SUVs, luxury vehicles and newly added 12-passenger vans. All vehicles are backed by the Avis commitment to provide outstanding customer service and include free pick-up and drop-off service within a five-mile radius, roadside assistance and, in most cases, unlimited mileage. All Avis rate plans will be honored, including special inter-city, one-way rates with no drop-off charges between these locations and the airport. Avis also offers an insurance replacement program designed for customers who need a replacement vehicle because their own car is in the shop.
