After five of 15 events, Chip Ellis, aboard the G Squared/S&S Buell,
continues to lead all qualifiers for the Ringers Gloves Pro Bike Battle,
which will be contested as a special bonus event during the prestigious
2005 Mac Tools U.S. Nationals at Indianapolis Raceway Park. The
Americus, Ga., rider now has 785 points and leads by 30 points.

Riders began earning points for the 2005 Ringers Gloves Pro Bike Battle
at the 2004 Mac Tools U.S. Nationals. The eight riders accumulating the
most qualifying points during the 15-race Ringers Gloves Pro Bike Battle
series, which concludes at the 2005 O'Reilly NHRA Mid-South Nationals at
Memphis Motorsports Park, will earn a berth in the Ringers Gloves Pro
Bike Battle.

_*2005 NHRA POWERade Pro Stock Motorcycle point standing:
Ellis No. 10*_

The first Pro Stock Motorcycle event of the year is history and Chip
Ellis finds himself in a position to which he and the G Squared
Motorsports Team is unaccustomed since he joined the team at the Mac
Tools U.S. Nationals last year.

In the four events of 2004 that Ellis rode the G Squared/S&S-powered
Buell, he never qualified lower than fourth. During those four events
his resume' includes two No. 1 qualifying positions and a win at the
NHRA AC Delco Las Vegas Nationals.

After Gainesville (the Mac Tools Gatornationals), Ellis is No. 10, with
33 points, 79 points behind the leader, in the NHRA POWERade Pro Stock
Motorcycle Championship point standings. But it's a long season.

Nobody knows better than the veterans George Smith and George Bryce,
co-owners of G Squared Motorsports, that there are still 14 races left
in the season.

After the event, George Smith said, "This weekend was one of those
weekends when stuff happens and now we just go back and prepare for the
next race. I'm pleased with the progress we made at Gainesville Raceway.
We have a good package and now we just need to put it together to get it
down the track every round."

Added George Bryce, "We won't spend any time on what could have been,
instead we'll look forward to what will be. Each one of us knows what we
need to focus on and that's what we're going to do. We'll get some
practice in, take what we learned from experience out here and get ready
to run a great race in Houston."

The next event for Ellis and G Squared Motorsports is the 18th annual
NHRA O'Reilly Spring Nationals at Houston Raceway Park. The event will
be contested April 8-10.
