PRIMEDIA Names Brad Gerber AUTOMOBILE MAGAZINE Publisher
NEW YORK--March 21, 2005--PRIMEDIA Inc. , the country's leading targeted media company, today announced the promotion of Brad J. Gerber to the post of AUTOMOBILE MAGAZINE Publisher. AUTOMOBILE MAGAZINE is recognized as America's leading automotive lifestyle publication with a readership of more than 3.5 million and is part of PRIMEDIA's Consumer Automotive Group. Mr. Gerber was most recently the National Account Manager for PRIMEDIA's Performance Automotive Group, where he was responsible for key accounts across 40 titles and more than doubled revenues in the past four years.In his new position, Mr. Gerber will be responsible for building on the momentum of AUTOMOBILE MAGAZINE in the marketplace among manufacturers and luxury goods advertisers. He will report to Steve Rousseau, Group Publisher of PRIMEDIA's Consumer Automotive Group.

Mr. Gerber began his career in publishing in 1992 with Petersen Publishing's Skin Diver magazine overseeing the Western US, Western Caribbean, Mexico, Central America & the South Pacific. In 1997 he joined Petersen's automotive properties and successfully increased the group's revenues by 22%. Under EMAP USA's acquisition of Petersen in 1998, Gerber was named Publisher of Hot Rod magazine where he had several record-setting years in sales and overall revenue contributions. He then accepted the position of Director of New Business for EMAP where he developed national, multi-platform accounts including Anheuser Busch and AOL. In 2001, under PRIMEDIA's leadership, Gerber assumed the position of National Account Manager in the Performance Automotive Group.
