Toyota Awards Delphi 'Global Contribution Award'

Delphi earns Toyota's highest supplier recognition for performance in 2004

NAGOYA, Japan, March 17 -- Toyota Motor Corporation presented Delphi Corp. with two special awards for performance during 2004 at Toyota's Global Supplier Convention held here today.

Delphi earned Toyota's "Global Contribution Award" for the company's significant dedication to Toyota's global business development in 2004. Delphi was specifically cited for its launch performance on electronic engine control units (ECUs) supplied to Corolla, and for heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) and wire harness systems supplied to Tacoma.

Delphi also earned the "Award for Quality Performance - Excellence" for providing high-quality technologies to Toyota.

Delphi Chairman and Chief Executive Officer J. T. Battenberg III accepted the awards on behalf of Delphi. "It's gratifying to have Toyota recognize Delphi for being a significant contributor to their successful vehicle manufacturing program, because that's the vision of our company," Battenberg said.
