TI Automotive Wins New Fuel Tank System Business
WARREN, Mich., March 16 -- TI Automotive, a leading global supplier of fluid storage-and-delivery systems, recently was awarded multi- million-dollar contacts for the production of fuel-tank systems by three global automakers.
The multi-year contracts with one Asia-based and two major North American automakers have a combined value of $264 million.
The fuel-tank systems will be manufactured at TI Automotive's Ossian, Ind., and new Hartwell, Ga., facilities. Production will begin next year for the blow-molded fuel tanks designed for use on 2007 and 2008 model-year passenger cars and sport-utility vehicles.
