Navigon Launches MobileNavigator|5 for OEM Partners

NEW ORLEANS, La.--March 14, 2005--NAVIGON, one of Europe's leaders in mobile GPS navigation systems for dynamic telematics, navigation solutions and driver assistance systems, today announced its latest software solution MobileNavigator|5 (MN|5) for Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs). The NAVIGON product family supports all hardware and mobile platforms such as PDAs, PNAs and mobile phones for automotive and business applications.

Available immediately for OEM partners, NAVIGON is demonstrating its MN|5 software at the 2005 CTIA Wireless trade show in New Orleans, La., with partner NAVTEQ, at booth # 1867. The NAVIGON MN|5 enables OEMs to provide increased ease-of-use, greater application reliability, optimized memory compression and universal applicability on all hardware. The MN|5 software is available with maps for North America, 27 European countries and six Gulf States, and in 16 different languages.

NAVIGON is extending the benefits of MN|5 and its product family into its Automotive and Corporate Solutions business units. NAVIGON is working with partners such as BMW, DaimlerChrysler, Ford and Continental, to bring specialized, advanced navigation systems to market. NAVIGON can tailor specific navigation software solutions for enterprises active in haulage, provisions, waste disposal, and personal transport industries, as well as for technical and commercial field service, software houses and systems integrators.

NAVIGON's intuitive, embedded software can be integrated into existing systems such as tour planning, customer relationship management, enterprise resource planning or existing software environments. The individually adjustable navigation solutions NCK 4.0 (NAVIGON Configuration Kit) and NIK 4.0 (NAVIGON Integration Kit) are supplemented by the software components POI Finder (Point of Interest), POI Importer and TourManager.

Edgar Christen, general manager of NAVIGON US, said, "NAVIGON allows its OEM partners to create tailor-made navigation applications based on our flagship MobileNavigator|5 product family. The advanced features of MN|5 are unmatched in today's mobility and navigational markets as no other product offers as much functionality and is as easy to use in such a compressed format. NAVIGON's commitment to exceeding the demands of consumers and enterprises, coupled with our company's expertise and market leadership, form the basis for our continued market success."

NAVIGON is active in three business areas including mobility, automotive and corporate solutions for the field. NAVIGON's business strategy for North America is based on a proven model already successfully applied in the European market, focusing on its software's compatibility with Pocket PCs and the new generation of mobile phones, as well as product 'bundles' with hardware from manufacturers and OEMs partners. Current customers and partners include Fujitsu-Siemens, Hewlett-Packard and Microsoft.

NAVIGON took pioneering steps with the development of the world's first mobile GPS navigation system eight years ago and continues to set high-quality standards today with its products. The core of the company's corporate philosophy is mobility for individuals, all the time, wherever they happen to be, safely, comfortably and efficiently with simplicity of planning.
