-- Two new clamshell phones added to 3G portfolio
-- Communications for everyone with two new stylish and affordable clamshell devices
-- New BMW Bluetooth(R) car communications system
HANNOVER, Germany, March 10 -- CeBIT -- At CeBIT 2005 (Exhibit Stand E40, Hall 26), Motorola, Inc. is demonstrating its vision of Seamless Mobility by extending consumer choice and experience with two feature-packed 3G devices, two new stylish and affordable clamshell handsets and a new Bluetooth(R) car communications system for BMW.
"Today's announcements are clear evidence of our commitment to deliver the vision of Seamless Mobility," said Greg Estell, Vice President and General Manager of Motorola Mobile Devices, Europe. "Consumers want access to inspiring content on the move wherever they are. Motorola understands the importance and has the heritage and experience to make this real. Our leadership in 3G and the strength and depth of our device portfolio brings this to life for the consumer, and confirms our position as one of the most exciting and forward thinking brands around."
-- 3G Devices Leadership -- is highlighted with a duo of new feature and functionally rich clamshell handsets -- the chic Motorola V1050 (exclusive to Vodafone) and the beautiful black V1150. Together with the compact Motorola V975, which will shortly be available to 3's customers, these handsets will provide consumers with thrilling experiences in music, video clips, games, movies and downloads. -- Communications for Everyone -- Motorola's strength and depth in device portfolio is continued with the introduction of the feature packed, yet affordable Motorola V360 and V235. Both include the latest wireless standards and technology innovations such as EDGE (Enhanced Data for Global Evolution) for faster downloading, Push-to-talk over Cellular (PoC) for speedy communication with colleagues, family and friends, plus video capture and playback, proving to be both advanced and affordable. -- BMW Convenience On the Road -- Using Motorola technology, BMW is now providing drivers with a more convenient way to conduct hands-free calling. The BMW communications system automatically connects to a compatible phone with Bluetooth wireless technology and synchronizes phonebook contacts each time a driver enters the vehicle. Drivers are then able to conduct hands-free and wire-free calling, answer calls, browse contacts and place calls in a BMW by using the multi-function steering wheel, speech recognition to dial by name or number, or iDrive controls. Motorola's technology is also the communications gateway that links BMW drivers to an array of emergency assistance or concierge services available from 'BMW Assist' and the internet portal 'BMW Online' in markets where these services are offered.
Motorola is showing all of the products mentioned above on Stand E40 in Hall 26 at CeBIT 2005.
