Mitsubishi Selects BBDO as New Advertising Agency
World-Renowned Ad Agency Awarded Mitsubishi Account
CYPRESS, Calif., March 8 -- Mitsubishi Motors North America (MMNA) today announced BBDO to be its new advertising agency of record. The announcement comes on the heels of an intense agency review involving the top advertising agencies in the country.
"The competition level was very high among the elite agencies vying for our business," said Dave Schembri, executive vice president of sales and marketing. "They all made outstanding presentations that demonstrated impressive strategic and creative thinking, but BBDO has exactly the right formula we need to significantly increase the awareness of Mitsubishi's amazing product portfolio and our legendary Brand."
BBDO, part of the Omnicom Group, Inc., possesses a wide breadth of resources and has offices in New York, Chicago, San Francisco and Los Angeles. The Mitsubishi account will be run out of BBDO's Los Angeles office, but will utilize talent from several of the BBDO offices under the direction of President and CEO of BBDO Worldwide, Andrew Robertson, and Chairman and Chief Creative Officer of BBDO North America, David Lubars.
