Denso Establishes New Company in China to Produce Heat Exchangers

Tokyo (JCNN) - Denso has announced the establishment of Denso (Tianjin) Thermal Products Co., Ltd., in Tianjin, China on February 25. Capitalized at $39 million, the new company will produce heat exchangers for car air-conditioners and radiators, beginning in July 2006.

Denso set up its fifth manufacturing operation in China in response to growing demand for car conditioners and radiators resulting from increased production of automobiles in China. The new company will provide heat exchangers primarily to Denso's existing air conditioner production company in China.

Denso currently has Japanese automotive manufacturers as its customers in China, but the company plans to supply European and US carmakers with operations in China as well.
