Avis Sponsors Achilles Athletes With Disabilities at Los Angeles Marathon

PARSIPPANY, N.J., March 4 -- Avis Rent A Car System, Inc. today announced its sponsorship of the Achilles Track Club "Marathoners National Tour," scheduled to arrive in Los Angeles for Sunday's marathon. The Los Angeles Marathon, one of five stops along the tour, is expected to draw 20 Achilles athletes with disabilities, including Iraq war veterans and a legally blind athlete. The national tour is part of the Achilles Track Club, a worldwide organization that encourages disabled individuals to participate in distance running with the general public
