Porsche Cars North America Reports February 2005 U.S. Sales
Best February in PCNA History for Porsche in United States
ATLANTA, March 1 -- Porsche Cars North America, Inc. (PCNA), importer and distributor of Porsche sports cars and Cayenne SUVs in the United States and Canada, today announced retail sales in the United States increased by 8 percent for the month. The company sold 2,243 cars, making it the best February in history and underscoring customer interest in Porsche's redesigned 911 Carrera and Boxster. Boxster sales were up 111 percent. Year-to-date sales were up by 3 percent to 4,420.
"We are very happy with the way our customers have accepted the Porsche 911 and Boxster," said Peter Schwarzenbauer, PCNA President and CEO. "Warmer weather will arrive to greet our new 911 Cabriolet, which goes on sale March 12."
In addition, dealers sold 348 Porsche Approved Certified Pre-Owned vehicles, compared to 298 for the same period last year.
