Nissan Donates Car Seats to Four Local Community Organizations as a Part of Its Quest for Safety Campaign

GARDENA, Calif.--March 1, 2005--Nissan North America, Inc. (NNA) poses with the Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE) and five child safety seat winners during its most recent Quest for Safety seminar held in support of National Child Passenger Safety Week.

Beginning February 15 through February 22, Nissan partnered with four Los Angeles community organizations to offer free child passenger safety seminars to the public. Partner organizations included Crystal Stairs, PUENTE Learning Center, YWCA of Greater Los Angeles and LACOE.

Established in 1998, Nissan's Quest for Safety campaign is designed to educate parents and caregivers at the grassroots level about child passenger safety. "We are pleased to partner with local community organizations to offer the Quest for Safety program and educate communities about child seat safety and the proper installation and use of child safety seats. The information provided in the seminars could save a child's life," said Robert Yakushi, director of product safety at NNA.
