GM President Cowger Brings More Muscle
JJ & Lynne's Stone Soup GTO

 (Detroit, Mich.-March 1st, 2005) . . . Gary Cowger, President, General
Motors North America, joined WCSX's Jim Johnson (JJ) and Lynne Woodison
on air this morning to talk about the station's Stone Soup GTO Project
which benefits the Children's Leukemia Foundation of Michigan.

WCSX listeners were stunned when Cowger offered, "That '65 is such a
beautiful car that anyone in their right mind would not bring that would
and drive it in the winter time. A few of us have been kicking around
what if we just gave a 2005 Pontiac GTO Coupe? So whoever the lucky
winner is will have a summer and a winter car."

JJ joked with Cowger, "Here I am trying to shake you down for a $200
carburetor and we get a $35,000 automobile out of this!"

With one phone call, JJ & Lynne's Stone Soup Project(tm) doubled in
size! Thanks to General Motors a 2005 GTO Coupe to be given away with
the restored 1965 Stone Soup GTO. One ticket - two cars!!

According to Cowger, "Myself, I've been personally touched. I had a
niece who had leukemia. What better opportunity here than to really
help, particularly in this case, kids in need."

JJ & Lynne Stone Soup GTO raffle tickets will cost $25 each and 100% of
the ticket price will go directly to CLF. The first opportunity to
purchase tickets will be March 4th - 6th at Autorama inside of Cobo Hall
in Detroit. One lucky ticket holder will win both the restored 1965
GTO and the 2005 GTO Coupe on September 22nd, 2005 at the JJ & Lynne
Stone Soup event at the Wintergarden inside the Rensisance Center in
downtown Detroit.

JJ & Lynne's Stone Soup Project was inspired by a fable wherein everyone
throws something in the pot to make a great meal. The JJ & Lynne Stone
Soup Project will harness the generosity, expertise and ingenuity of
WCSX listeners to accomplish this task.

With the help of many WCSX listeners, including General Motors and Gary
Cowger, as well as companies who will donate parts, the JJ & Lynne Stone
Soup Project(tm) is now undertaking the task of putting together in
months what it would take most people years to do.
