Dodge Dakota Pickup Truck and EB Games in Search of Tampa's Best Pick-Up Spots

Tampa Residents Invited to Nominate Their Favorite Pick-Up Spots for a Chance to Win a New 2005 Dodge Dakota

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Feb. 23 -- Dodge and EB Games are conducting a city-wide search to identify the best spots in eight different categories for picking up everyday favorite things and will send one Tampa area resident home with the keys to a new 2005 Dodge Dakota.

"Through the 'Keys to the Best Pick-Up Spots' promotion, Dodge is recognizing establishments that share the best-in-class status with Dakota, a mid-size pick-up truck with full-size truck capability," said Fred Diaz, Director Dodge Communications, Chrysler Group. "Those who vote for their favorite pick-up spot will be entered in a contest to win a new Dakota to transport them to their favorite spots."

Beginning Feb. 23, 2005, "Best Pick-Up Spot" nominations will be collected online at http://www.dodgepickupspots.com/ and 26 EB Games Stores (Electronics Boutique Holdings Corp.) located throughout the Tampa metropolitan area. Upon submitting a pick-up spot nomination, consumers' names will be placed in a drawing for a chance to receive one of 40 keys that could start a new 2005 Dodge Dakota.

The only available V-8 in its class, Dodge Dakota is in search of the best spots to pick up items in eight different categories:

   -- Sports, weather and news updates (newspaper, television and online
      resource)
   -- Carryout meal
   -- Sporting or outdoor equipment and gear (football, camping, fishing,
      hunting, etc.)
   -- Manly tools (air compressor, backhoe, wood chipper, nail gun, etc.)
   -- The big game or race on TV (sports bar)
   -- A cup of "Joe" and the paper
   -- Gifts to impress my significant other
   -- Rays at the beach

Nominations will be accepted through March 26, 2005. To claim "Best Pick- Up Spot" status, stores/retailers that are nominated must receive the most votes in their respective category.

On Saturday, April 9, from 2-4 p.m. the local winning pick-up spots will be announced at an open-to-the-public celebration at the EB Games Store in Westfield Shoppingtown Citrus Park located at 8131 Citrus Park Town Center in Tampa, Fla. Keys will also be tried and turned and the lucky contestant whose key starts the vehicle will win an all-new 2005 Dodge Dakota pickup. Event attendees are invited to take part in a giant game of Pick-Up-Sticks and collect prizes, including free EB Games coupons as well as other Dodge merchandise.

Tampa, Fla. is one of ten cities where Dodge is conducting the "Key to the Best Pick-Up Spots" search. Other cities are Portland, Ore., Orlando, Fla., Sacramento, Calif., San Diego, Dallas, Houston, Phoenix, Las Vegas and Seattle.
