High-Tech Features Boost Appeal of Today's RVs; See the Newest Models at the Northwest Michigan Camper & RV Show
TRAVERSE CITY, Mich., Feb. 22, 2005 -- Camping today isn't what it used to be. A family of four squeezed into a station wagon packed full with the bare necessities, food and clothing. Today's RVs are more comfortable and spacious than ever. They are light, well-equipped and technologically advanced. What used to be luxuries, like fully equipped kitchens and baths, and central heating/air conditioning, are now standard on most models.
Popular high-tech options available in today's RVs include automatic leveling systems, electronic mapping (Global Positioning Systems), heated water and holding tanks, dual-purpose appliances (combination washer-dryers and TV-VCRs) and closed-circuit, rear-view cameras for backing up. Preview the latest innovations at the Northwest Michigan Camper & RV Show at the Grand Traverse County Civic Center.
Show visitors can find new, year 2005 RVs on display including folding campers, motor homes, travel trailers, and fifth wheel travel trailers. Display models range in price from $4,000 to more than $75,000. Booths will have parts and accessories, and free information about campgrounds.
