Amerigon Names Millennium Plastics Its 'Supplier of the Year'

Chihuahua, Mexico-Based Contract Manufacturer Selected for Overall Quality, Delivery, Service

DEARBORN, Mich., Feb. 17 -- Amerigon Incorporated today announced that it has selected Millennium Plastics Technologies, LLC ("Millennium") of Chihuahua, Mexico as the Company's Supplier of the Year for 2004. An award certificate recognizing the achievement was recently presented to Millennium General Manager Jaime Torres by Brent Jump, Amerigon's Manager of Purchasing and Logistics, and Trisha Taylor, Purchasing and Logistics Analyst.

Millennium has been the contract manufacturer/assembler of the Amerigon Climate Control Seat(TM) (CCS(TM)) system, the only seat system that allows drivers and passengers to individually heat or cool their seats depending on climate conditions, since the Company began manufacturing CCS in Mexico in late 2002.

"Millennium was chosen to be Amerigon's supplier following an extensive evaluation of a number of contract manufacturers," said Amerigon President and Chief Executive Officer Daniel R. Coker, "and it was chosen because of its modern facilities, excellent work force and its commitment to product quality and timely deliveries."

Coker said that manufacturing and assembling of CCS in Mexico has been a success in part because of the dedication of the Millennium employees and management team.

"This award was based on the overall quality of the products produced, the on time delivery record and high level of customer service provided to us by Millennium and its outstanding team," Coker said. "All of us at Amerigon would like to thank the people at Millennium and we look forward to continuing our relationship with them in the months and years ahead."
