Hi-Tech Engine Components Forms Venture to Supply Factory Quality Engines

SALT LAKE CITY, Feb. 15, 2005 -- Hi-Tech Engine Components has formed a venture with manufacturers that produce new and refurbished factory quality engines, cylinder heads and crankshafts. The venture known as the Factory Engineering Group will operate administrative offices within Hi-Tech's Salt Lake facility. Under the terms of the venture, Hi-Tech has exclusive marketing and distribution rights in the automotive, truck and marine aftermarket.

Products are produced in 7 U.S. facilities. Ten distribution centers, providing rapid delivery nationwide, are located strategically across the U.S.

"Hi-Tech now offers a total solution for the engine category, including import and domestic engines, cylinder heads, crankshafts, engine kits and a full line of component parts. Offering an "honest" factory quality engine was critical to our Hi-Tech branding strategy and more importantly it meets our customer's needs. Our entire engine program was designed around the needs of the professional installer. For too long, professional installers have risked their profit and reputation with low quality engines. Hi-Tech's no risk engine program includes a 42 month/100,000 mile nationwide warranty, free delivery and core pickup, no risk core credit and optional no fault warranty which includes rental car and towing coverage.
