Metaldyne Announces Expansion at Middleville, Mich. Facility
Auto Supplier to invest $8 million, create 64 jobs
PLYMOUTH, Mich., Feb. 15 -- Metaldyne announced today that it will expand its Middleville, Mich. facility to accommodate the machining and assembly of a transmission end cover assembly for a new six-speed transmission to be used by two North American automakers.
The company will invest $8.1 million and add 64 new jobs at the Middleville facility. In addition, a University of Michigan economic analysis estimates that 28 indirect jobs will be created as a result of increased economic activity associated with the expansion.

The new programs launch in late-2005 and mid-2006. Metaldyne Middleville will add 64 new jobs over the next 48 months.
Metaldyne Middleville machines and assembles powertrain products for the automotive industry. Its main products include front engine modular assemblies, oil pumps and chain case covers. The facility currently has 115 employees.
