Blue Sky Motorcycle Rentals Reports on Growth and Manufacturer Relationships
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.--Feb. 1, 20055, 2005--Blue Sky Motorcycle Rentals, half owned by MBA Holdings, Inc. (OTCBB:MBAH), is successfully expanding its licensed locations and marketing reach in the motorcycle rental market. Blue Sky has finalized a licensing agreement for a new location in San Diego, a top travel and rental destination. The initial rental fleet has been purchased and the San Diego location is preparing to commence business.Blue Sky's Avondale, Arizona store is relocating to within minutes of the Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport to capture the rental traffic from this prominent Southwest vacation entry point. The new store lease is signed and the Sky Harbor location will be open for business on March 1st. Blue Sky projects at least 50-100% growth in bookings for this licensed location.
Blue Sky is set to deliver a full motorcycle rental fleet by tractor trailer at the upcoming Daytona Bike Week. This large bike rally is the official start of the rental high season for Blue Sky. A significant portion of the bikes being sent to Daytona have pre-booked rental reservations.
Blue Sky is making significant progress in building direct rental relationships with motorcycle manufacturers. The first location opened at the Bourget's store in Phoenix store produced heavy bookings in the first month of operations. The first fleet production run of custom designed choppers made exclusively for Blue Sky by Carefree Custom Cycles located in Phoenix, AZ are ready for delivery. These Carefree bikes are exclusively made to Blue Sky specifications and offer ease of maintenance, rental customer comfort and reduced production costs.
The concerted efforts between Blue Sky and Carefree in bringing a superior rental bike product to market is another step in aligning manufacturers with Blue Sky and the National Motorcycle Dealers Association (NMDA). Carefree CEO Tony Abbruzese comments, "The relationship between our company, the NMDA and Blue Sky has produced almost immediate benefits to Carefree and this partnership will assist us in meeting our increased production goals for 2005. We believe the opportunity to deliver a custom bike model to the rental market through Blue Sky ensures Carefree will gain an even wider following for our quality brand of bikes."
Blue Sky has also engaged in purchase/leasing arrangements with our new NMDA partner, D&M Leasing, a Van Tuyl subsidiary, for existing and new motorcycle inventory at Blue Sky licensed locations. The ability to maximize rental operation savings will be a key cost savings measure and marketing tool as Blue Sky locations convert their bikes to leasing arrangements and new licensees are signed.
The volume of licensing inquiries has risen sharply in 2005 and Blue Sky anticipates being able to actively convert numerous prospects into new locations throughout the year to increase revenues and produce bottom line growth. Blue Sky CEO Wayne "Lumpy" Ordakowski comments, "We are very optimistic that Blue Sky will experience rapid growth throughout this coming year. It is our objective to become the leading independent motorcycle rental company in the world and achieve a dominant role in the rental marketplace."
Blue Sky expects to make further announcements in the near future of additional rental locations.
