AMA- Windham Podiums At RCA Dome

Round 6: Indianapolis

Amsoil/Chaparral/Napster Honda's Kevin Windham returned to his
podium-appearing ways, scoring a third-place finish in round six action at
Indianapolis' RCA Dome.

K-Dub's result allowed him to get back to third place in the points
standings, where he now sits with 100 - 45 behind series leader Ricky
Carmichael, and just 13 back of Chad Reed.

While Windham pretty much had third to himself for the entire main event,
what transpired behind him was a crowd-pleasing story as Team Honda's
Ernesto Fonseca and hometown Hoosier hero Mike LaRocco went at it for
fourth position. Amsoil/Chaparral/Napster Honda's LaRocco finally got
around Fonseca and pulled away, securing a fourth-place finish. Fonseca,
meantime, would wind up crossing the line in sixth behind David Vuillemin.

The evening also marked the opening round of the 2005 125 East Region
Supercross Series, where Amsoil/Chaparral Honda's Joaquim Rodrigues was the
highest-finishing Red Rider, bringing his CRF250R home in sixth.

Next weekend, the THQ AMA Supercross Series returns west to San Diego and
Qualcomm Stadium.
