Tim Faith of Suzuki Auto Center of Corpus Christi, Texas Elected Chairman of American Suzuki Dealer Advisory Board
CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas, Feb. 14, 2005 -- American Suzuki Motor Corporation (ASMC) today announced that Tim Faith, owner of Suzuki Auto Center of Corpus Christi, Texas, has been elected chairman of the American Suzuki Dealer Advisory Board for 2005.
Faith will work with newly elected American Suzuki Dealer Advisory Board Vice Chairman Kent Dobbs, owner of Kent Dobbs Suzuki of Springdale, Ark., and Secretary Jeremy Franklin of Franklin's National Suzuki of Kansas City, Mo., to help shape dealer policies aimed at enabling Suzuki and its more than 540 U.S. dealers to continue recent industry-leading sales growth.
ASMC is currently embarking on a five-year plan to triple its vehicle sales to 200,000 by 2007. As the cornerstone of this effort, the company is working closely with its dealer network to launch nine new models including the Verona midsize and Forenza premium compact sedans, introduced in 2003, and this model-year's five-door Reno and versatile Forenza Wagon. These new models join the sporty Aerio sedan and SX, and Grand Vitara and XL-7 SUVs in dealer showrooms to give discriminating buyers eight distinctive Suzuki vehicle choices for 2005.
Faith has been a Suzuki dealer since 1998 and an automotive dealer in the Corpus Christi area since 1992. He was the first Suzuki dealer in the United States to open a Suzuki Square facility as part of ASMC's award-winning nationwide Retail Brand Image Program.
A resident of Corpus Christi, Faith received his bachelor's degree in engineering from Murray State University in Kentucky and completed graduate work at Southeast Missouri State University. He is married and has one son.
Faith enjoys surfing, tennis and volunteer work with the Driscoll Children's Hospital in Corpus Christi, part of the Children's Miracle Network.
