GLENDORA, Calif. (Feb. 9, 2005) - JEG'S Mail Order, a nationwide leader in sales and distribution of parts and supplies for the aftermarket performance industry, has signed a multi-year agreement with NHRA to become the title sponsor for both NHRA SPORTSnationals events.
The second annual JEG'S.com NHRA Cajun SPORTSnationals will be held April 22-24 at No Problem Raceway in Belle Rose, La. The inaugural JEG'S NHRA Northern SPORTSnationals will be held July 28-31 at National Trail Raceway near Columbus, Ohio.
"JEG'S is excited to support both SPORTSnationals events," said Scott Woodruff, director of media and motorsports for JEG'S Mail Order. "We were at the event last year at No Problem Raceway and experienced firsthand the excitement from the racing community, track and the fans. It is a program that we are excited to help bring to the next level. We will be adding some new elements that should help make both events better for everyone involved."
The JEG'S NHRA SPORTSnationals are NHRA national events designed to showcase NHRA's sportsman categories exclusively. Competitors in Comp Eliminator, Stock, Super Stock, Super Comp, Super Gas and Super Street will compete for more than $50,000 at each of the JEG'S NHRA SPORTSnationals events in 2005.
