Nissan Donates Quest Minivan to the San Diego Museum of Art

SAN DIEGO--Feb. 8, 2005--As part of its continuous commitment to education and the community, Nissan North America, Inc. recently presented the San Diego Museum of Art (SDMA), with a new 2005 Quest Minivan. This donation was granted through the Nissan Neighbors Program and will benefit SDMA's educational outreach programs which target local schools, community centers and community festivals. "The Nissan Quest gives the museum a strong presence and definitely makes the SDMA and Nissan partnership visible in the community," said Maxine Gaiber, director of education, SDMA.

"Nissan is proud to support such a valuable organization," said Lou Knierim, director of administration and human resources, Nissan Design America. "The Museum has been a significant and important member of the San Diego community and we are honored to support their outreach programs."

The San Diego Museum of Art's education department is committed to reaching out into the community in order to make the Museum accessible to anyone who wants to learn about its collections and exhibitions and to understand and participate in the creative process. SDMA serves children, adults, educators, and families in the San Diego area through educational and interpretive programs and performances in the Museum's galleries, classrooms, and auditorium, and through outreach programs in the community.
