Another Nissan Serving the Community; Nissan Donates Minivan to the San Diego Museum of Art
SAN DIEGO--Feb. 8, 2005--Nissan North America, Inc. recently donated a new 2005 Quest minivan to the San Diego Museum of Art (SDMA). This donation was granted through the Nissan Neighbors Program and will benefit SDMA's educational outreach programs, which target local schools, community centers and community festivals."The Nissan Quest allows us to accommodate students and better quality art supplies since they can be easily stored and transported in the van," said Maxine Gaiber, director of education, SDMA. "Nissan is proud to support such a valuable organization," said Lou Knierim, director of administration and human resources, Nissan Design America. "The Museum has been a significant and important member of the San Diego community and we are honored to support their outreach programs."
The Rosa Parks Elementary/School in the Park program deepens and enriches the educational experience of selected students at Rosa Parks Elementary by utilizing the tools and resources available at the San Diego Museum of Art. The School in the Park program at SDMA promotes and reinforces California State Standards in math, language arts, science and social studies using the artistic resources at SDMA.
