Patriot Motorcycles Jumps into Freestyle MX World With Sponsorship of 2005 Freestyle MX Tour
![]() |
The premier event in this sport is the annual Freestyle MX Tour, featuring world-class riders on powerful motorcycles performing breathtaking mid-air stunts while soaring overhead in front of thousands of thrilled motorsports fans at each and every show. The Freestyle MX Tour is renown as the largest such tour in the world - and this year's is slated to be the biggest, best and most exciting tour ever, with the sport's top riders performing the most amazing and gravity-defying aerial acrobatics ever seen in the motocross world.
Tour riders are regularly featured on "The X-Games" broadcast on ESPN and every year media attention continues to grow -- with both the sport and the tour garnering increased coverage in print as well as on broadcasts (such as "The Late Show with David Letterman"(R)). And this year's tour is no exception, as it promises to be the most widely covered event of its kind in the history of freestyle motocross.
Now, the Yamoto by Patriot(C) brand of off-road dirt bikes and ATV's will be a high-profile participant as well -- having just signed an exclusive agreement to be the "Presenting Sponsor" for the upcoming Freestyle MX Tour 2005. The 2005 Freestyle MX Tour will be seen at 70 venues -- including top NASCAR and INDY races -- with attendance ranging from 50,000 to 300,000 per event.
Patriot Motorcycles intends this high-profile sponsorship to be an integral part of the dramatic kickoff of its national branding campaign -- designed to introduce the exciting Yamoto line of Chinese Dirt Bikes and ATV's to the U.S. market.
As the "Presenting Sponsor," Yamoto by Patriot will receive tremendous exposure through signage on all Tour vehicles including Freestyle MX Tour motor coaches, equipment vans, Tour bikes and the 36-foot and 20-foot enclosed Tour trailers. Tour posters, autograph cards and other merchandise such as rider hats and T-shirts will feature the Yamoto by Patriot logo and designs. In addition to all on-site signage, Yamoto by Patriot will be included on all national and local advertisements for each Tour stop. Total impressions generated by the exposure for Yamoto by Patriot are expected to top 140 million.
Marc Burnett, President of MD Extreme Promotions, founded the Tour seven years ago and was the first to market in producing freestyle motocross demonstrations. "Yamoto by Patriot Dirt Bikes and ATV's are the perfect grass-roots products. They are affordable for the whole family and stand up to the punishment of our pro riders," states Burnett.
Mark Green, President of Sales and Marketing of Patriot Motorcycles Corp., is enthused about the historic partnership. "We are building the first significant Chinese-manufactured brand in America," notes Green. "The extension and credibility offered by the Freestyle MX Tour was an opportunity we sought out to connect with our grass-roots consumer. We have put significant resources towards the Tour to ensure our message of affordable family fun reaches its target."
