Dave Master is prepared for all potential track conditions: "I spent 40
minutes driving in the rain last night to get practice in case that happens.
The car is in great shape. If we can just drive as fast as the car will go,
we'll do a good job."

in color

The TRG cars will glow in the dark during the night hours of the Rolex 24
through the magic of LED technology supplied by Marc Sluszny's sponsor Solid
State Racing. The colors are red (No. 16 Team 16), orange (No. 62 Porsche
Club Japan), light blue (No. 63 traders), green (No. 64 Daytona defenders)
and yellow (No. 65 champions).

spot on

Team16 has three spotters alternating shifts to watch for potential problems
on track. The idea came from Ross Bentley, whose Speed Secrets Driver
Development company has prepared his co-drivers Colin Braun, Adrian Carrio
and Brad Coleman for their first Rolex 24.

"Running a Porsche, about the only reason you're not going to finish is if
you get hit or you hit something," Bentley explained. "We need to do
everything we possibly can to minimize the chances of that. Having an extra
set of eyes up in the stands watching is going to improve our chances of
avoiding all the problems that can happen out there."

sponsor plus

Sabatello Homes is more than a name on the No. 64 (Daytona defenders)
Porsche. Carl, Paul, Michael and Ted Sabatello are an integral part of the
team. They set up a motorhome and refrigerated truck in the infield so they
can cook special treats for the crew. They also assist with pit setup,
timing and other duties to help ensure a smooth race operation.

"Last year, they provided us with hot soup (pasta fagioli), pasta (fettucine
bolognese) and pizza made on a charcoal grill, not to mention the prosciutto
sandwiches on homemade Italian bread," Joe Policastro recalled. "We are very
fortunate to have them as a sponsor."
