Wheels, Inc. Exceeds $10M in Vehicle Sales Via Internet Resale Program

DES PLAINES, Ill., Feb. 4, 2005 -- Wheels, Inc., a leader in the multi-billion-dollar fleet-leasing industry today spotlighted the success of its Internet Resale Program with the announcement of sales exceeding $10 million in less than two years.

More than 1300 vehicles have been sold through the innovative program, which was launched in 2003 and has been enhanced on an ongoing basis to provide customers with an extremely useful tool for expanding driver and employee sale programs. "We are very pleased to provide customers with a service that eliminates an administrative burden and offers a new and creative way to remarket vehicles and help deliver top dollar for their used vehicles," said Darrin Aiken, Wheels' assistant vice president of remarketing.

Seamlessly integrated with Wheels' DriverView, a Web-based solution that fully automates the car ordering process, the Internet Resale Program allows potential buyers to search for their ideal vehicle and provides comprehensive vehicle information including price, equipment, maintenance history, collision history and a driver completed condition survey. Once the vehicle is found, the buyer puts down a deposit and proceeds with the purchase. "If the used vehicle does not sell over the site by the time the new vehicle is shipped, it gets sold through one of our other remarketing channels with no lost time," said Aiken. "This provides a mechanism to start the process of selling the vehicle earlier to a larger purchaser base," he continued.

Wheels' customers readily recognize the positive results delivered by the Internet Resale Program. Gail Watson, Nationwide Fleet & Parking Service Manager recently commented, "while Nationwide has always experienced a high percentage of driver/employee sales, Wheels' Internet Resale Program has had a very positive impact in terms of dramatically cutting the time our drivers spend responding to inquiries about vehicle availability, maintenance records and general condition. Nationwide associates love this Wheels product!"
