Charlie VogelheimJoins J.D. Power and Associates as Vice President of Automotive Development

WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif. January 28, 2005; Charlie Vogelheim, auto industry leader and former executive editor of the Kelley Blue Book, has joined global marketing information firm J.D. Power and Associates as vice president of automotive development.
Vogelheim will be responsible for the J.D. Power and Associates International Automotive Roundtable, the premier forum for industry leaders and executives to share and discuss market forces affecting the automotive industry. Vogelheim will also leverage his vast editorial experience to head J.D. Power and Associates’ automotive publications, such as The Power Report and PowerGram. In addition, he will organize and conduct client forums and industry symposiums for the Power Information Network (PIN), LLC, as well.

Power and Associates and the Power Information Network’s automotive presence and publicity through active involvement in dealer, manufacturer and industry events,” said Tom Shaver, senior partner at J.D. Prior to joining J.D. Power and Associates, Vogelheim spent 20 years at Kelley Blue Book, serving as a key member of its management team and chief spokesman. He was instrumental in transforming Kelley from a trade publishing company to an industry-leading automotive information provider. Vogelheim was an active leader in the development and implementation of Kelley Blue Book’s highly successful Web site, kbb.com. Vogelheim is also a regular correspondent on Car and Driver magazine’s weekly radio show.
Vogelheim earned a bachelor degree in economics from Gonzaga University in Spokane, Wash.
