Guidepoint Announces Newly Formed Board of Advisors

Enlists veteran automotive, marketing & development execs to provide guidance

PONTIAC, Mich., Jan. 28 -- GPSi, llc today announced it has formed a board of advisors to provide guidance to its fast-growing Guidepoint(TM) operation.

The Pontiac, Mich.-based provider of stolen vehicle recovery, driver safety and convenience, and fleet management services said the newly formed advisory board includes veteran executives with broad management and corporate finance experience in the automotive, consumer products, and service industries. Guidepoint's advisory board includes:

* Andrew J. Dillon: Mr. Dillon is the former president of DSC, Ltd. (formerly McLouth Steel) and a former managing director of Wynnchurch Capital Partners, LP, an investment management firm. He also served as vice president of GE Capital's Commercial Finance Group. He currently serves as State representative for the 17th District of Michigan.

* Roger Fridholm: Mr. Fridholm served as president and chief operating officer of The Stroh Brewery Company from 1979 through 1990, when Stroh grew to become the third-largest brewing company in the United States. Today, he runs St. Clair Group, a private investment and management services company, and serves as a director of Comerica, Inc.; The Stroh Companies; U.S. Security Associates; and a variety of philanthropic boards.

* Jack D. Rutherford: Mr. Rutherford served as chairman and CEO of International Harvester (Navistar International), Clarion Technologies and his own private holding company, ICM Industries. Prior to joining International Harvester, Mr. Rutherford was employed by Ford Motor Company for 26 years.

* Jeff Fuller: Mr. Fuller owns and operates one of the largest independent automotive expeditor firms in New England, Micorp, Inc. Based in Auburn, Mass., Micorp sells to more than 200 auto dealers throughout Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut.

* Joe Belz: Mr. Belz serves on the senior management team of Auto Club of America, a 30-year old autoclub with more than 10 million members. Mr. Belz owned his own real estate development company and was a sales, marketing and operations manager for a Fortune 500 company.

The independent advisors are joined on the board by GPSi CEO Rand Mueller and Vice President Brian Edwards. Mueller, who has more than three decades of experience in the automotive industry, co-founded Guidepoint in the late 1990s as a business unit of Madison Heights, Mich.-based Code-Alarm, Inc. He is a serial entrepreneur who has started more than a dozen businesses, including automotive aftermarket and OEM supplier Code-Alarm, which he took public in 1987.

Edwards is vice president of corporate development for GPSi. In addition to his duties with Guidepoint, he is managing partner and founder of edventures, llc, a private investment and management consulting firm with interests in the automotive, hospitality, online media and emergency-rescue businesses.
