CallCommand Provides Free Turnkey DNC/OFAC Solution to All US Chrysler Group and Honda Dealers

CINCINNATI--Jan. 28, 2005--In response to increased awareness within the automotive industry for the need to comply with Federal and State Do Not Call (DNC) legislation, and the lack of comprehensive solutions for dealers, CallCommand(TM), a leading provider of web-based communication solutions to automotive retailers nationwide, today announced the release of CallScan Lite, a free version of its comprehensive DNC/OFAC solution, CallScan, to all US Chrysler Group and Honda dealers at NADA 2005 in New Orleans, Jan 29-Feb 1, 2005.

Due to CallCommand's ongoing relationships with Chrysler Group and American Honda Corporation, these dealers will be the first to receive free versions of CallScan Lite, which offers protection for Dealers and their customers on both state and national levels. The compliance solution provided by CallScan Lite is a necessity for Dealers seeking a comprehensive means for implementing the required policies and procedures.

According to CallCommand CEO Al Babbington, compliance regulation promises to be a hot topic at NADA 2005 and beyond as industry awareness and concern continues to grow, "knowing whom they can contact and when will become one of the Dealers' most important tools, however, compliance can often be cumbersome and difficult to navigate for Dealers. We hope to help lighten the load and make it easier for dealers by releasing a free version of CallScan, our easy to implement, turnkey DNC solution."

CallScan Lite includes all the main features contained in CallCommand's bestselling DNC solution, CallScan, which offers state and federal do not call compliance solutions and assists businesses in building an infrastructure to support the new legislation imposed by the Federal Trade Commission, FCC, State Agencies and even the Treasury Department regulations. Most importantly, it aids Dealers in ensuring that all necessary safe harbor requirements are met.

In addition to the release of CallScan Lite at NADA 2005, CallCommand will release a revamped version of its turnkey DNC solution, CallScan, with enhanced features to protect dealers from new updates to DNC legislation. The FTC recently clarified their ruling regarding the calling of any mobile phone # without the express permission of the customer. In response, a new "Wireless DNC List" currently includes over 30,000,000 mobile numbers which should not be called. CallScan now includes a feature that automatically searches this list, offering a simple solution to ensure that the dealership does not call these numbers without customer approval.

Another new law that CallScan protects dealers from is number portability. In 2004, new laws were passed enabling consumers to keep their phone number when they switch phones, or if they chose to switch service from a land line to a cell phone, or vice versa. This portability can leave dealers vulnerable; if a customer switches from a landline to a cell phone, it is no longer legal to solicit their business over the phone. CallScan has built in features that prevent this from happening.
