Toyota Motor Sales de Mexico Announces Organizational Changes
MEXICO, D.F., Jan. 26, 2005 -- Toyota Motor Sales de Mexico today announced an organizational structure designed to support its continued growth and development.
Bob Weldon was named managing director and chief executive officer of Toyota Motor Sales de Mexico. Throughout his career, Weldon has served in various positions at Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc., including assignments in marketing, sales, distributor relations and financial services. His latest assignment was as president of Toyota de Puerto Rico, a three-year term during which Toyota achieved record sales share.
Weldon has a master's degree in marketing and a bachelor's degree in business administration, both from the University of Michigan. He and his wife Penny have four children.
Adolfo Hegewisch was named chief operating officer of Toyota Motor Sales de Mexico and is charged with the administration of all areas of the company. For the last two years, Hegewisch served as director of sales, marketing and parts/service.
In addition, Ed Ohlin, who previously served as president of Toyota de Mexico, has retired from Toyota after a distinguished career spanning nearly 21 years. Ohlin is credited with having contributed significantly to Toyota's sales operation in Mexico.
In 2004, Toyota Motor Sales de Mexico sold 23,876 vehicles. There are 29 Toyota dealers in Mexico.
