Mister Car Wash Goes Clean, Purchases Cleaner Electricity from Green Mountain Energy Company

Mister Car Wash is the Largest Car Wash Chain Nationally to Purchase Cleaner Electricity

Mister Car Wash, the fourth-largest car wash chain in the country, announced today its purchase of cleaner electricity from Texas-based Green Mountain Energy Company, the nation's largest retail providers of cleaner energy.

Green Mountain Energy(R) electricity is cleaner than typical system power in Texas and will be purchased for 23 of Mister Car Wash's wash and lube locations in the Houston and Round Rock areas. By purchasing cleaner energy from Green Mountain Energy Company, and based on Mister Car Wash's average historical electricity usage, Mister Car Wash will be helping to prevent the release of nearly 740 tons of carbon dioxide (CO2), a greenhouse gas, into the air each year -- equivalent to not driving 1,600,000 million miles annually.

Larry Minich, chief financial officer for Mister Car Wash, says, "We see this as a tremendous opportunity to be good community stewards while also being financially responsible. It's not often you get a chance to do the right thing and save money at the same time."
