DaimlerChrysler Services North America Rewards Andre Agassi College Preparatory Academy Students for Commitment to Education

-- Three Hundred Agassi Preparatory Students Receive Bicycles and Helmets -- DaimlerChrysler Services Field Personnel Take Active Role in Team Building Exercise while Helping At-Risk Youth -- Featured Speaker Oscar B. Goodman, Mayor - City of Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS, Jan. 26 -- DaimlerChrysler Services North America will sponsor the Andre Agassi College Preparatory Academy (Agassi Prep) at a field sales event on Wednesday, Jan. 26 at 3 p.m. in the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. DaimlerChrysler Services' field employees, attending a business meeting, will use this opportunity to test their team building skills by building bicycles for local students at Agassi Prep.

DaimlerChrysler Services North America is donating bicycles and helmets to all 300 children who attend Agassi Prep as a reward for their continued dedication to their education. One hundred of those students will be given their bicycles at the event and will ride in a bicycle parade.

Agassi Prep is a model charter school for socio-economically challenged youth, designed to foster innovation and excellence in education. Focusing on technology and college preparation, the Academy's goal is to enhance performance among at-risk students, reduce dropout rates, introduce students to cultural activities and involve them in community affairs. Agassi Prep is funded by the Andre Agassi Charitable Foundation, a public charity created to provide recreational and educational opportunities for at-risk boys and girls.
