New York Auto Show Proudly Announces Ferrari Maserati Charity Preview Sponsor
NEW YORK, Jan. 24, 2005 -- North America's first and largest-attended auto show proudly announces Gruppo Ferrari Maserati as key sponsor of the New York International Auto Show's annual Gala Preview to benefit the East Side House Settlement. The event, which takes place at the Jacob Javits Convention Center on March 23, promises to deliver a full dose of glamour and excitement as influential leaders of fashion, arts and society join Ferrari and Maserati owners, investment bankers and celebrities for an exclusive show preview.
In addition to the private preview, the event features a cocktail gala for the Benefit Committee, a separate dinner for sponsors and benefactors, a live auction of a Maserati Gran Sport Limited Edition by Sotheby's auctioneer Jamie Niven, a private exhibition of new and vintage Ferraris from road and track, and live aerial performances from AntiGravity. The media sponsor is Esquire magazine.
The night is an extremely high profile occasion for a great cause. All the proceeds from the evening go directly to East Side House Settlement, an important social services agency in the South Bronx. In 2004, the Auto Show event raised nearly $1,000,000 to fund scholarships and education in technology for the residents of Mott Haven, the poorest congressional district in the United States. This year's goal is to raise even more. The funds raised will also support the Mott Haven Village Preparatory High School, which provides students with a college preparatory education in a small academically supportive environment.
Some notable 2004 attendees and Steering Committee members included Jerry Seinfeld, Frederique van der Wal, Tiki Barber, Fe Fendi, Christina & Chris Cuomo, Alexia and Baird Ryan, Susan Fales-Hill, Amanda Hearst and more.
