The NMDA Commences Motorcycle Auctions Program
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.--Jan. 1, 20059, 2005--MBA Holdings (OTCBB:MBAH) through its subsidiary, National Motorcycle Dealers Association (NMDA), announces its co-sponsorship with Kruse International of the motorcycle auction sales at the Scottsdale 2005 Collector Car Auction & Show that is being held at the Phoenix International Raceway from January 21-25. The event is hosted by Kruse International, one of the world's leading auction firms and the largest collector car auction company which is responsible for selling more vintage cars than all other firms combined. The NMDA has assumed the primary responsibility for the delivery of consignment inventory for sale at the motorcycle auction of up to 100 Harley Davidson and custom brand motorcycles. The NMDA's participation with Kruse International is another step towards establishing comprehensive inventory management solutions for the NMDA's motorcycle dealership network. As NMDA membership grows, the association seeks to maximize its ability to broker for sale and purchase our member dealers' and manufacturers' excess inventory, custom bikes, trade-ins, off-rentals and expired lease motorcycles. The NMDA's goal is to cover all bases via auctions with Kruse International and other leading auction houses plus virtual networks such as WholesaleTrader.com to make NMDA membership a must have for motorcycle dealerships for whom inventory turnover is the lifeblood of their business.
The national market for motorcycle sales at auction is in its infancy compared to the well developed marketplace for the sale of premium quality vintage and used cars. With motorcycle culture attaining an all-time high in consumer awareness and motorcycles retaining a high portion of or sometimes exceeding their original book value, the auction markets are now well positioned to sell vintage, used, custom and dealer inventory bikes. Major vehicle auctions are regularly attended by high-end collectors and dealers and thus provide another valuable marketing and membership recruitment showcase for the NMDA.
The considerable potential of the motorcycle auction direct sale and resale market can now be cultivated as the NMDA expands its market reach. Relationships with prestigious and productive auctioneers like Kruse International are aimed to establish the NMDA's role as the primary coordinator of motorcycle auction sales, a function not previously provided to the auction industry. The NMDA's objective is to build a national presence in the sponsorship of auction sales and establish regular motorcycle auction opportunities in many regions of the U.S. The long range revenue potential will be maximized as the volume of inventory under management grows and the NMDA's share of auction attendance fees grows in size. MBA's objective is to grow this revenue stream to contribute hundreds of thousands in profits per year and more if possible in the years ahead.
