American Axle & Manufacturing Announces Executive Appointments

DETROIT, Jan. 19, 2005 -- American Axle & Manufacturing, Inc. (AAM), today announced the following executive appointments:

David C. Dauch has been named executive vice president, Commercial and Strategic Development. Previously he served as senior vice president, Commercial.

Richard F. (Rick) Dauch has been appointed president, Metal Formed Products Division. Previously Dauch served as vice president, Metal Formed Products Division.

Alberto L. Satine has been named vice president, Procurement. In his previous position, Satine served as executive director, Global Procurement - Direct Materials.

Abdallah F. Shanti has been appointed vice president Information Technology, Electronic Product Integration & Chief Information Officer (CIO). Shanti served as vice president, Global Procurement, Information Technology & CIO in his previous position.

James C. Peters has been named director, Direct Materials. Previously he served as Global Commodity Manager.
